BREAK FOR LUNCH @ 12:30 to 1PM THE HONEYBEE COLONY DYNAMICS – Discussion covers honeybee species, caste, life cycles and functions; queenbee, workerbees, and drones. INTEGRATED PEST MANAGEMENT PRACTICES (IPM) – overall discussion on maintenance of working with the honeybees and associated pests - Discussion of Varroa mite, Tracheal mite, American foul brood, European Foul brood, Sac brood, Caulk brood, Nosema, Hive Beetle, Ants and others with all natural methods and practices. The Thomas Hybrid Hive(TM) will be available for purchase to hive stewards completing the workshop.

Attendees should bring drinking cup and brown bag lunch & notebook with pen/pencil to workshop.

Each workshop session builds on the prior session information.
